long live michael jackson.

sooo michael jackson died..i was at work when iheard yesterday and it completely floored me. i was sooo upset bc michael jackson is an institution within himself . music would not be where it is now if it were not for michael jackson's creative genius. i am honored to even grow up in a generation that experienced his greatness first hand. Not just his songs but his dancing was something out of this world. The best performers could only wish to be as good as michael jackson. His music inspired me, uplifted me & entertained me. his music helped me through many hard times that ive had in my life. michael jackson was a pure embodiment of music & will be greatly missed by me as well as others. it is tragic & unfortunate that he had to pass so early with so much more to do, on top of that it was on my birthday =/ but when the good lord calls, theres no waiting. i guess heaven needed some michael jackson. may he rest in peace. long live the king of pop.

soo i downloaded the song "shining down" from lupe's new cd & now i feel bad cuz even tho i was gunna officially buy the album when it came out, i wanted sneak peak

untiiill i read this on lupe's blog:

My entire first album leaked and possibly cost me from going platinum my first time out as the final estimates of how many people actually downloaded that album illegally was well over half a million. the things i love about home.

sooo i been home for a few weeks now..& being here reminds me of the things i missed while i was away at school. the obvious are my friends & family.but its also the [little] things. like the river for example. i have a fascination w. bodies of water. i think thats why i wanna live in cali when i get older bc im in love w. the ocean.

& alsooo my fav sushi bar back home. sakura blue. fried shrimp rollssss. yumm.

sorry bout the bunch of days of nonposting.

ive been "blessed" w. coming home & starting my two jobs again. which meannnsss...working from 7am to 11pm..sheessshh. but yea im back on it tho. i was gone for a sec but no worries i am back to doing the regular =)

my catch 22 since i been home:

sooo its preetttyyy hard to find an ideal apt for the school year when im not in town. this sucks ass basically lol.. ill find a couple places & they look nice from the outside but lord knows wat they look like on the inside..i jux need to get back to atlanta but i cant do that until i make this money & save up a reallll good amount which wont be until the middle of july & thats pretty late timing lowkeyyy.. i dunno. ill figure it out tho.

the art of letting go.

soo there comes a time in many relationships or situationships where things jux dont go how you would necessarily like them to go. hes fading away. hes not calling as much. yal dont go out as often. he seems to be "out w. the boys" more often. doesnt pick up the phone when you call. as females it is in our nature to try & make things work out even though the other side may not be as willing to do the same. if he starts doing things that hint hes falling out of interest females find it in their minds to do things to maintain interest or get him to be interested again. in reality, i have come to learn through experience that it is better to jux let the situation go and leave him alone then go chasing after something that isn't stopping to look back. ive come to learn that when a man has made up his mind to let you go, it is better to jux accept it then to nag and cling on to whatever is left of the "situationship". i now know when that point is and i hope that females who are reading this will understand where im coming from. & if you are in that situation just let it go. hes not coming back. move onto something new because apparently he wasn't the "one".
